How to prevent a Windows 10 PC from sleeping/hibernates during a scan? I know I can change power settings in W10 Settings?
You can temporarily disable sleep during scans using powercfg -change standby-timeout-ac 0 in Command Prompt, then restore it later. Or run your scan with the laptop plugged in and set “Never” for sleep under Power & sleep settings to prevent interruptions.
powercfg -change standby-timeout-ac 0
Thanks. I did change the power setting for sleep to NEVER last evening, and wIll change it back after the scan has completed. I was hoping Bitdefender had the ability where it could disable sleep while a scan was running. I'm a new bitdefender user, previously Norton, and did have to change the sleep timer for it. I'm using a PC/desktop and not a laptop.
