Im renewing my subscription of Total security with Ultimate Security and when i run the install file it wont progress thru to the install page just disappears and reverts back to the normal back to windows page

If Bitdefender was already installed on that device, it's not necessary to reinstall the software. Once you activate the new Ultimate Security subscription, this will be reflected in the product as well. Keep in mind that Total Security will still be displayed in the UI because this is still the core antivirus component of the package. The installed product must be linked with your Central account, so make sure to login usign the same email address. The software gets its subscription information and configuration from the subscription running in the Central account.
If your previous Total Security subscription was still valid at the time when you upgraded to Ultimate Security, you may find two subscriptions overlapping in your Central account, but this will last only until Total Security expires. If this is the case, you may follow the steps from this article to reallocate your devices to the new subscription:

@Alexandru_BD forgot to mention that, after you reallocate all your devices to the new Bitdefender Ultimate Security subscription, you need to stop the auto-renewal for the old Bitdefender Total Security subscription, by following these steps:

Correct, make sure to disable the automatic renewal feature for the outgoing subscription so that you won't be charged for it when it's due, since you have upgraded manually and these are two separate orders basically, each with its own renewal flows.
