When a Quick/System Scan finishes you are given a choice to View Log or Close.

However there is never anything in the Log if the "Your System is Clean" message appears. In other antivirus applications they usually tell you what they did - maybe in truncated form - but they do tell you what they looked at and the results. Without that feedback are we just to trust that Bitdefender did indeed do its job and search the system for viruses and other malware, finding none or removing the offending file/virus that it found? It would build confidence in Bitdefender if the user could see some results of these scans even if they found nothing harmful.

Bitdefender will detect and remove any threats from your system and you can trust it to do a proper job.

When it finds an infection on your computer, it usually takes automatic action against it and gets rid of the malware without requiring any input on your side. See this article:

Still can't get this to work properly. When system scan or quick scan finishes, I choose the "View Log" option and never get the next screen that shows the path to the scan log, as indicated in the example of how to "export the scan log". The "you are safe" screen simply sits there until I close it. I do want to see what the scan log tells me, but still can't see or download it. I'm running Total Security Build 27.0.55.303 on a Windows 11 system.

In that case, follow the steps below.

Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps:

If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

It will completely remove the program.

Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been solved, as reinstalling the program usually solves the issues.

If the instructions from Step 2 didn't help, follow the instructions in this step.

First, take screenshot(s) of the issue

and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

with short description of the issue.

After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.

Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

NOTE: If the log file is larger than 25MB, you can upload the log file here:

After the upload is done, you will get a notification with the file's URL and then you can share the file's URL with the Bitdefender Consumer Support.
