I am facing a very annoying issue with Bitdefender Total Security while trying to add a folder to the exceptions list.
Whenever I manually enter a path that contains an ampersand like C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Games&Apps it gives me an error saying "The exception you have entered is not valid."
This is extremely confusing for a regular user. Most people just copy the path from Windows Explorer and paste it. If the software cannot handle a simple symbol like & in a folder name it makes the whole process a puzzle for anyone who isn't tech-savvy.
It seems like the manual entry field has some serious parsing issues. Has anyone else dealt with this? The devs really need to fix how the app handles special characters in file paths because it currently feels like a bug that makes the UI feel outdated.
It would be much better if the app could automatically escape these characters or at least give a proper error message instead of just saying "invalid".
