Question about Secure Pass upgrade

I got an e-mail today that I must upgrade to Secure Pass by June 12th.

When reading about Secure Pass I saw this disturbing line:

Web Access: Manage passwords from any browser using a convenient web client.

Am I to understand that Secure Pass is going to store all of my passwords in the cloud? This is…. an insane security risk. Any compromise of your system and all my passwords are compromised with it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this but I don't see how I can access my passwords anywhere from a web based client without them being in the cloud.

Can you clarify this? I only want my passwords stored locally on my computer where only someone with access to my computer can access my passwords. If Bitdefender is going cloud, I'm going to have to go shopping for a new password manager.

Okay… I think maybe I'm overreacting because I don't know how this works…. apparently only an encrypted version of my passwords exists online, so even if someone accessed my "file" they would not see my actual passwords. Is that correct?

SecurePass uses end-to-end encryption and requires both your Bitdefender login and master password to access your data.

Wanting to know your data is safe is not overreacting, thank you for asking the question! As Alexandru mentioned, the data is stored encrypted and cannot de decrypted without the master password. I've provided more info on how the data storage and retrieval works in this comment and this one.
