I bought Premium Security to replace Antivirus Plus. I uninstalled Plus, restarted Windows, downloaded Premium, but it installed Plus. What do I do wrong? Thank for your help!
Is the new subscription on the same account? Is the previous Plus subscription still valid? If you open Bitdefender Central and go to the Subscriptions tab, you can manage devices and switch from Plus to Premium, provided both are still valid.
To add here, I'll leave the steps to reallocate devices, should you need them:

The main thing to keep in mind is that it's not necessary to uninstall and reinstall the antivirus software when renewing your subscription, or when purchasing a different plan. If the antivirus is already installed, its features or plan type will change automatically according to the subscription available on the Bitdefender Central account. With one condition, that the previous plan has already expired, because if it's still valid at the time when you activate the new subscription (in this case Premium Security), the protected devices will still be allocated to the previous license, as the "replacement" or upgrade is not made automatically. In this scenario you will find two subscriptions/licenses overlapping in your Central account, since the two plans are not identical, there can be no continuity between them, so one cannot extend the other, if this makes sense. 🙂

Yes - thank you. I have one of these rare Antivirus plus lifetime accounts. So… mmm I probably can’t upgrate to the premium version now. I guess I do can install it on another computer - that is not associated with my plus account.
Wait - I am going to unstall the plus version on my main computer. Then install that version (the plus one) on an older one. And when that is done, I try to install the premium version on my daily computer. Bit of a workaround but I could work I think.
So do you have 2 subscriptions on the same email account? Or two separate accounts in Bitdefender Central?
Login here and check the subscriptions menu: https://central.bitdefender.com/home
Yes, I remember there was a "lifetime" edition at some point, but technically speaking it didn't last "forever", as "lifetime" actually meant 5 years. This was basically considered the average lifetime of the PC/laptop where it was installed, and the license could not be transferred to another device during its validity period.
Perhaps the best way to move forward in this case would be to start from scratch, use the uninstall tool to remove any traces of Bitdefender from that device, then redeem the activation code of Premium Security in your Central account and proceed with a fresh installation. You can find the uninstall tool here:

Then proceed to the installation steps:

Let us know if this worked.
@Davinio following up here just to let you know that I spoke with one of my colleagues from the Support teams and they will contact you via email to help you out, ok?
