Set timer for version updates

Hi devs,

When there is a new version update bitdefender just automatically updates to the latest versions even when running a scan or doing other work.

Could you add the ability to set a timer for when bitdefender will check for a new version, this timer would not however effect the definitions updates.

Also when a new version is available bitdefender should prompt a message asking the user if you would want to update now or later when the computer is in use, otherwise it would just update to the preset timer when the computer is not in use.

Bitdefender typically operates via silent, background updates for malware definitions to avoid interrupting users. However, for major product or version upgrades, it does display a prompt window. This pop-up will appear whenever there is a product update installing, and it can`t be disabled. But when gaming or performing any other activities where you`d prefer to not be interrupted, you can activate one of the available profiles. Doing so halts pop-ups, adjusts visual settings, and pauses unimportant background activities and updates of course.

Now back to your suggestion, I think a timer or some form of reminder that an update is about to take place would be nice to have. However, this would be yet another notification flow that needs to be designed, and we know very well that pop-ups are not very "loved" to say the least.😄

One more thing, if you turn the Silent Update feature OFF, Bitdefender will notify you when a new update is available, giving you the choice to manually confirm it or delay it:
