Please consider adding support for running Bitdefender in Safe Mode.

My computer was infected with ransomware that rebooted Windows into Safe Mode before starting the encryption process. Because Bitdefender was not running in Safe Mode, it was unable to detect or block the attack. I believe support for Safe Mode protection would significantly improve resilience against this type of ransomware.

So I take it the ransomware was able to, obviously bypass Bitdefender's real time shields that were already running when it occurred? And it sounds like ransomware remediation wasn't able to restore your files.

I would rather BD catch the ransomware up front, during normal use, as once it goes into Safe Mode is probably to late to do anything, as BD would have to be running absolutely when/before Safe Mode fully opens, otherwise it's to late.

If you would contact Support regarding any details that you could, may help to create a defense for this ransomware to possibly help protect others as well. Follow the Prevention & Threat Removal prompts until you get to the black Contact Support box. Chat would hopefully head you in the right direction.
