Adware.fakeantivirus.k / L

for a number of days now bit defender has been "blocking" this virus which attempts to access my computer multiple times in a row. usually adware.fakeantivirus.k attempts twice and adware.fakeantivirus.L attempts after.

however. i still repeatedly get redirected on the internet to these fake sites telling me my computer is infected and that i need to do a scan and download their antivirus.

how do i STOP this from happening? and bitdefender says my system is clean but how can that be possible if i continually am getting redirected to fake websites?

any insight? please?
