Windows Startup Option

What is the purpose of the "load bitdefender at windows startup" option? I unchecked it (BitDefender antivirus 2009), but BitDefender still loads. I know others have seen this same behavior. So what does the option do? Is it just a broken option or does it do something not so obvious? 0

I also think that option does not seem to do anything and appears to be a remaining option from the previous versions of the product.
