[pending]bitdefender Total Security 2009 Scanner (help)

Options

Hello, I need a little help here.

Here are my problems :

>When I do a full system scan for my computer, after scanning around 2,000 files, the number of files scanning per second becomes 0.

I have also left my computer scanning all night. Unfortunately, when I woke up, the scan has elapsed 12 hours, and it only scanned around 300,000 files. It was scanning 8files/second.

>Also, there is another problem. When I scan, even though the scan says for example : 500files/second. It won't scan the files anyway. The time goes down and it didn't scan any, even

though it is 500files/second.

I would appreciate to have the help as fast as possible.

Thank you.

Ok, I got BitDefender Total Security 2009, and uhh whenever I do a scan, when it reaches this file "C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-958617186-2150099514-3506952405-1000\$R265KVC.rar"

My files per second becomes to 0! each time I scan. and now it has been scanning for 12 HOURS and its still not done! I have only scanned 1966 files in 12 hours. <img class=" />

Could anyone tell me what the problem is, because this is really lame

It may be a problem with the Administrative rights.Delete manually the folder in safe mode.

    It is total security 2009

  • So you have two available options:

Either you empty your recycle bin and try to scan again and see if you still have this problem.

Or you can try to send me the file via PM or attach it here with password "infected" so that it can be analyzed.

I will try your first option, but If it doesn't work, what file to I send?

  • The file that blocks the scanning: C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-958617186-2150099514-3506952405-1000\$R265KVC.rar

Like i said in "Post 6" ,go in safe mode, "own" the folder and delete it manually.Similar problems may appear with System Volume Information folders. The folder is visible after you make it visible from Folder Options.

You will also need to disable Recycle Bin from its properties.

  • Also I like to use this little tool from time to time Unlocker 1.8.7, it removes the "lock" from the file/folder and then it removes them. The nice thing about it is that if it's ran in tray it detects by itself the blocked files.
