I have windows xp sp3 and Bit Defender Total Security 2009


Im running Windows Live Messenger and BitDefender shut it down, how to add it in exception list ?

    Hi Nemesis.


    I have BitDefender Internet Security 2009 so I suppose the settings are not that different.


    Try open BitDefender and set it to Advanced Mode (if not set so allready).


    In the menu to the right select Firewall.


    Find Messenger and click the tiny + to the left of it.


    Select each of the new lines that showed up, one at a time, and then click the tiny triangle to the top-right, right over where it says "Local" and "Action" (when you hover to cursor over the tiny triangle it says "Change Rule")


    In the new window change the setting from Deny to Allow in the rectangle at the bottom of the window and then click OK.
