  • EDIT:

it's back on as normal, but it's too long shut down trying to update!

  • well, thats it switched off again for an update!

surely an update doesn't take too long?

  • When the interface looks like that you aren't really in danger, it's just the interface that show all the processes are restarting and the GUI is fully functional when all the services are back up.

  • thats for the reply, but how long do you think it should stay like that?

as the last time was about 15-20 minutes

I have for a long time been wondering are you "NOT Protected" when that shows ?,If so 15-20 Minutes is a long time ,But are you protected when that comes up is my Question ?

  • happening again <img class=" />

    bitdefender, sort it out <img class=" />

  • Happens here as well

I am regretting i switched from Kaspersky

    Sad but True

  • Every antivirus shuts-down their processes to re-write their engines, signatures, etc. May some of them aren't telling you and that's a whole different story.

  • Florin, they probably do, but yesterday i had vsserv.exe message from above shut down for a few hours.

now, this has only started with BD, it didn't happen a month ago, so it must be a bug of some sort in some of the updated files!.

are any of the bitdefender employee's getting this message?

    i'm seriously thinking about going back to V2008 <img class=" />

I'm afraid bitdefender employees won;t care if they do read our messages. I have been in touch with them for the past 10 days, with one "chat" online with Sam, who responded with an email. I sent all the info that I was asked to do and have heard nothing since. In all this time I have not been able to update BD, getting to 25% download and then it cuts out. In desperation I uninstalled BD and reinstalled another copy of the rotten programme so that I could get my computer protected. I have asked for a refund as I bought my subscription on 27.12.08 so I cannot face being with this company for the next year. I too want to go back to my previous antivirus.
