Virus/malware In Archive

I ran a full system scan. The result says that there are five issues. But it cannot do anything because it is an archive.

Since it couldn't do anything it says system in not virus free (obviously).

But it is in archive... So do I have to worry. If so is there a fix?

  • Hi,

Since it's located in your system restore points, the easiest solution is to Flush your system restore points:

To do this, you have to disable systemrestore and enable it afterwards again.

(note: this will delete all your system restore points and malware that were present in it).

Read here how to disable system restore: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405

After you disabled System Restore.... Reboot.. and after rebooting, enable it again, so a new systemrestorepoint will be made. A clean one now! :)

  • Thanks,

I will try that and rescan to see if it clears up. I will post an update.
