Bitdefender V10 And Live Messenger

My other computer i am using bitdefender v10 and windows live messenger versie 2009. Now I receive a file I want that these are scanned by bitdefender. I know that I can establish that in the messenger but the problem is to which file of bitdefender must I refer. Can anyone help me please.
