Bitdfender Update Failure

Brand new here, but boy oh boy, do I have problems with BD 2009 Updates.. they fail so often..and then to top it all off, my Windows Messenger won't connect..This is apparent when I check my HISTORY of updates. Updates seem to only get to 25 %, then nothing !! I am going slightly crazy. I have NO livesrv.log, NO upgrepl.log, and must say that I am deeply dissappointed with BD 2009.


If there is ANYONE out there that has had the same problem, pleeeeeeeeese tell me how to fix this.. <img class=" />

    Do you receive any specific error message? What BitDefender product do you use?

    I use BitDefender Antivirus 2009.. The only message I receive is when I go to "History".. And it tells me my Update failed. When I try to update the download bar goes to 25 %.. and repeats that, but doesn't go past 25 %. When I have another look at Update History it tells me that Update failed...AGAIN !!!!!! So, in exasperation I downloaded the Patch...silly me.. The window that appears tells me that it will take between 5 and 20 minutes... l.o.l. It freezes !!!!! Am I frustrated ???? Believe it !!! I assume it is the problem of BitDefender, and would simply ask that THEY solve the problem.


    I have unistalled it, and must think seriously about another programme, because quite frankly the programme IS FAULTY.


    Please do not ask me to send livesrv.log files because they do NOT exist.


    My internet connection works fine, I can go anywhere I like on the internet, I have adsl (cable)... in other words, Bitdefender update is the only place I CAN'T go.


    Does it happen all the time ?? No.. but often enough to send me nuts.


    If you can convince me to re-install it I will, but for petes sake... FIX IT !!!!!!

    There is no fix!! You can manually update every week, or find another product.
