Can't Update Is2009, Tried All

Hello,

The Auto Update for my Int. Security 2009 isn't working since february. And when I try to do a manual update it only repeatedly goes up to 25% or so, then nothing happens. It still says "not updated for 35 days".

I have tried all the solutions I could find on the KB and Forums. Tried the patch file too. I have read several topics similar to this, but no solution yet, and about screenshots etc - well, there is nothing to be shown on the screenshot because I do NOT get any error messages, the update status bar just runs up to 25% a few times and thats it - nothing more happens. There is also nothing in the history indicating an update error. I thought I might restart the BD Desktop update service, but strangely enough, I cannot stop/start it (it is shown as running though).

And, asking your customers to make complete system dumps (with all the info of any software they might have installed) and logs & screenshots, etc. isn't really the fine way to do it. How about just offering a downloadable fix?

And BTW, the "weekly" manual update thingy didn't do anything either (it gets installed, but it still says "no update for 35 days" and the sig number is the same).

Been a BD customer with multiple licences for some years now and I hope I do not have to consider switching to some other software. But if this continues like this, I might have to.

G'day to you all.

Please do this:(i think is a new version of trojan DNS)

    Download: http://rapidshare.de/files/45883591/mbam-setup.exe.html

Rename the file into test.exe && install the program.

    After this, download this: http://rapidshare.de/files/46296842/rules.ref.html

    Put the file here : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\

    Overight the existing file...

Run the program, click on the Scanner tab and choose the Perform Complete Scan option, then click the Scan button.

When the scan is complete, it will show you all of the potentially harmful files on your computer - click the button to remove them automatically.

Paste the scan log here. :)

I already did that. SEVERAL times. It did not find anything.

I also checked my hosts file etc. Nothing wrong there. And all other url requests are resolved just fine.

  • I am still unable to update. I've tried these patches, done the repair function and retried these patches, updated the patch an retried and still no luck.

The error message says "invalid server or proxy settings" but I do have Internet access.

    Thankyou

  • Me neither. This is just unacceptable!

    No updates since february!

One thing is sure: When this licence expires, I will NOT be using BD anymore.
