Conflictor Worm?

Hello, please Help

I believe I have might have the Conflictor worm (although I am unsure!)

For a little while before April 1st my internet browser was trying to reroute to other web pages when searching through any search engine ( like google). However when directly typing in the address the correct website will finally show. Then when April 1st came I started to receive a ridiculous amount of spam (200-250 per day) My computer also seems to be running slower then normal and the hard drives appear to be working even if I am not working when I am connected to the internet.

Lastly I cannot access my C:\ drive through the 'My Computer' browser window. I have attached a screen shot of the resulting message.

I am using XP Pro and I have attached my log scan for your review.

Thanks for your help !!!

  • I also forgot to mention that I am not able to update my Bit Defender 2008 software

Here is another more recent safe mode scan. The internet search browser website redirection problem still continues to persists.
