    Hi twan,

Take a look at this topic: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...entry7146

It is about a different virus, but you could try to clean it in the same way.

Please post if it worked or not.

    Cris.

If I'm not wrong, Trojan.Exploit.ByteVerify is a java applet which exploits different vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and Outlook. This is the generic description of this family of trojans. This may behave differently. You should follow the advices in the link Cris posted earlier, that should help you get rid of it.

    Hello twan

I suggest that you run this scan that will inform you about security risks and also how to solve it: http://secunia.com/software_inspector/ Enable thorough system inspection also. Do that afterwards you have removed it. Could you also please post the location? You can view the location by starting BitDefender go to general, events and take a look at infected options and post the location. If you don't update you will be still be vulnerable for this exploit.

    Regards

I still recommend that you also do that test because when you don't do that the chance is very high that you get infected again. In this case it's an out of date java version. When you do that scan you will receive instructions how to secure your pc.

Also glad that we could help you.
