Outlook 2007 And Accessing Gmail Account

this bit defender seems to want to control everyhting without giving a clue if it is doing it or not...

i cannot access my gmail account through Outlook 2007, all the settings are correct and it still won't, how can i check to see if bit defender is blocking access to this email acct and how do i resolve it?

What you can try is going to BitDefender - Advanced View - Antivirus - click on Custom Level and uncheck there "Scan incoming messages", "Scan outgoing messages", "Scan yahoo messenger traffic", "Scan windows live messenger traffic" and also "Scan http traffic". If you are still unable to get e-mails try going to Firewall and unchecking Firewall is enabled then do the same for Privacy Control and Parental Control.

I don't think the problem is due to BD. What you could do is, uninstall BD and then configure outlook for your emails.

As soon as outlook has started receiving and sending emails, install BD again.

I am not sure if it is BD that interferes with your outlook.
