Virut. My Computer Was Just Wiped Out

called win32.NBP/virut virus by nod32 and viru.win32.virut.as by Kaspersky just wiped out my computer.

Bitdefender internet security 2008 fully updated and all services running did not even see it coming, my subscription was canceled and all services shut down which was my only warning. this is a very impressively written virus, it shut off my internet from antivirus sites and proceeded to infect all .exe files in my system.

nod32 2.7 fought it but in the end a bitter defeat. I am now running knoppix trying to salvage the pieces and am even less impressed by bitdefender than before. bitdefender is in my opinion prior to this event poorly written as I have had many issues with the interface and its virus catching ability was the only thing that impressed me. But now that my comp. it destroyed by a virus that has at least 6 variations non of which bitdefender seems to know about I am completely disgusted with the program and will be going to try Kaspersky next time.Nod32 is good by the way.

Bitdefender team get your ###### together you have a major opening.

It may have come through windows sidebar, I dont know, but take head as this is a very major and evil virus not to be taken lightly !

the virus must have tricked the bitdefender on my computer into thinking my subscription was over or deleted me from its files on my comp. My subsciption should still be good as far as the company is conscerned. BD on my comp said my subscription was over not the company to clarify.

540 or something days left it says, my real concern is if BD has virut virus's in virus definitions database for me to update with after clean installs and data harvesting because for me a full install means a lot of programs and time and I dont want to just get wiped out again after all that.
