Problem With Bitdefender And Eclipse

Options

I have the problem that the debugger in Eclipse can not start - I get the message 'could not connect to vm'.

It seems as if one/some of the (tcp) ports is beeing blocked....

When I stop all Bitdefender processes, then it works... otherwise i must restart my computer (only stopping Eclipse isn't) enough...

Any idea of how to fix this problem?

    Hello Alfred

What firewall are you using? Because in BitDefender Antivirus there isn't a firewall included only in BitDefender Antivirus Plus or in BitDefender Internet Security. You can try to exclude the folder of eclipse by starting BitDefender go to antivirus, shield, adjusted (custom level) select the option don't scan this pad on all levels, press on new item and browse to the folder of eclipse.

  • No - Bitdefender - firewall; just AntiVirus.....

But anyhow, as I said: when I stop all Bitdefender Tasks, it works... so it has to be Bitdefender...

    Hello alfred

Not really there was one person where commodo firewall was the problem. It had nothing to do with BitDefender. Here is the proof: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=871

That is why I ask you what firewall you are using. Did you tried my other suggestion?

    Hello alfred

You have to open the necessary ports for eclipse in windows firewall. Here you will find instructions how to do that:
