Bluescreen After Upgrading To Bitdefender Internet Security 2009

Is anyone else getting this error? I upgraded from 2008 to 2009 on 5/1/2009 and get a Bluescreen and my laptop immediately shuts down about 3 or 4 times a day. Have sent files to Bitdefender, uninstalled, reinstalled several times...no luck.


Windows Vista Home Premium.


Just want to know if anyone else is also having this problem. Thanks.

    This is happening because of a conflict, probably with some other Internet Security suite.


    Remove all of your previously installed Internet Security suite, if you had. Update your network adapter drivers (wireless and LAN).

    Bluescreens will automatically create a dump showing the cause of the crash in the folder "C:\Windows\Minidump". In order to determine what is causing it we will need all the files from that folder and also some reports generated on your system. To speed up the process I have sent you a request for them by e-mail on Ticket ID 200905121006747.

  • Thanks for all suggestions. I've updated all drivers. Used uninstall tool to uninstall BD 2008. Installed BD 2009 4 or 5 times. Restored my system to before this nightmare began. I did find a user on another forum is having the exact same problem as I am. He has been battling this since March. Don't think I can last that long! Got the bluescreen when trying to post about 5 minutes ago. We'll see if I can get this posted.


    Diana - I just emailed you the info you requested. I already had another ticket opened. But nothing they've advised me to do has helped, so hopefully you can figure out what the problem is.
