I recently purchased BitDefender Total Security 2009 and installed it on three of my four computers. Not long after the install all three computers informed me that they needed Windows Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954430). (The fourth computer which did not get BD:TS 2009 did not develop this problem). I told the computers to download and install the update, and they did. Later I noticed that Windows was requesting an update again . . . for (surprise! ) Windows Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954430). Needless to say I've come to realize that every time I install the update, the blasted crazy computers are going to ask for it again... and again ... and again.

The updates seem to be installed (and I am confident that the WERE installed before BD:TS 2009 was installed... I always stay current with updates). However, the request to install remains and returns no matter how many times I install it. Two computers are running Vista, and one is running XP Home (all three are 32-bit).

Any advice that would fix this hiccup would be greatly appreciated.
