Cannot Upfate Bd Internet Security 2009

Hi, I have just purchased Internet Security 2009 and I can't update it at all - and haven't since I installed it. The windows firewall is disabled. I also disabled the BD Firewall to see if that "fixed" the issue - but it didn't. I cannot to internet using all other applications and browsers.

At the moment, this is making my purchase 100% useless - so I would appreciate any advice or help.

Unfortunately your post is a bit confusing: are you able or unable to browse the Internet using other applications?

Also, open a command prompt window and try to enter the following commands:

ping upgrade.bitdefender.com

nslookup upgrade.bitdefender.com

Please provide the output of these commands and also tell us if you are using a web proxy for your Internet connection.
