Viewsonic Display Issue On Xp After Installing Bitdefender Total 2009

Installed BitDefender Total 2009 on two of my machines.


The Toshiba Laptop with Windows XP had to have BitDefender firewall turned off since it cannot co-exist with my Cisco VPN client.


But I don't know how to resolve the display problem on my HP desktop hosting Windows XP that uses Viewsonic monitor: The installation process went smoothly. So I started a full scan overnight. In the morning I found the display was totally skewed, as if my desktop.ini was destroyed such that display refresh rate, desktop size and icons were all gone. After rebooting the machine, tthis display problem did not improve. I attempted to re-install Viewsonic driver, but failed to see the dialogs properly because the display was skewed in zig-zag form.


I'm not even sure how to un-install BitDefender without a proper display.


Help?
