Bd Internet Security 2009 Can Not Install On Windows Server 2008 64b - >downgrade To Bitdefender 200

Hello,

several downloaded BD Internet Security 2009 version are all reporting to be not compatible with WIndows Server 2008 64 bit.

Can somebody tell me a workaround to install it?

Or can / should I install BD Internet Security 2008 (it is not reporting an imcompatibility in the first installation steps) with my BD IS 2009 licence code?

Hello starfighter,

You should try installing BitDefender 2008 on your Windows Server 2008 system and we will change your license key, so that you can register this product. BitDefender 2009, can be installed on Windows Home Server and we have a special patch that helps our users to do this .

Only our business products are fully compatible with Windows Server 2008 .

BD IS 2008 is in fact running on my Server 2008 so far. But my serial for BD IS 2009 is not capable for this product.

Why is that, I heard that you can install the previous version when occuring errors?

The license keys valid for a newer version of BitDefender, cannot be used in order to register a previous product . That is why, we have sent you an email asking you for your current serial number, so that my colleagues from the Customer Care department to change your license key, with one valid for BitDefender 2008 .
