Bd Antivirus Not Remember Setting

Dear all

I have some problem with BD antivirus on my laptop win XP home sp3.

BD not remember the setting

I disable vulnerbility when I close the window it return again.

I cannot disable it. Only one way to disable is disable each item but cannot disable "automatic vulnerable checking"

The second issue. I exclude the "microsoft private folder" software from scanning because BD scan and found that it run as hidden process.

After I set exclusion of all file that was marked. When I scan I still received all three files mark as hidden process.

I exclude both on access and on demand.

Please let me know how I can solve this problem.

The first issue described in your post was described in the next topic:http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=15327 . Please post your replies regarding this sittuation on that post.

Most probably the files detected as infected are legitimate and we can remove their detection from scanning. In order to do this we need to have a look on the Deep System Scan report that was generated on your system. Here is what you have to do in order to run this type of scan:

1. Before running the scan please make sure that you have the latest virus definitions downloaded via the Update module: open BitDefender, click the "Settings" button, select the Expert Mode, click on "Ok" and choose the "Update Now" task on the right;

2. After the update process completes successfully you can proceed to running the scan task: select the "Deep Scan" task;

3. When the scan ends, click the "Show Log File" button at the bottom right of the scan window; A browser window will open displaying the scan report; Save this file on a location of your choice, upload it to http://www.sendspace.com/ then reply with the download link .

First of all, thanks for your helpful.

For your information the software I use was detect as hidden process is encrypt software from microsoft that should not be a virus. This software name is private folder from microsoft

The second reason, I already remove BD from my system(temporary) because the problem of DVD (in another topic) First I plan to re install and follow up the link you give me but I found from the link that your solution not successful, the customer still have to reset everyday, so I still not try because it will cause other problem with my system (not only problem from this post).

I will return to install BD when another problem was fixed because it cause a lot of problem for me.
