Problem Running Antivirus 2010

I have installed Antivirus 2010 but when I start up the computer it runs super slow then I get the bitdefender logo with a red triangle over it. Then I get a warning that says Failure – security option. Also after that the mouse moves around but I can’t click on anything. I have to use system restore to get it back to normal.

Hello kelphead,

Most probably BitDefender is interfering with another program installed on your system . If you have other firewall or antispyware programs, try to start your computer in Safe Mode(you have the steps described here), access the "System Configuration Utility" (click on Start from Windows then choose Run, type msconfig then click on Ok), click on the Startup tab and uncheck, the entries for the mentioned type of programs .Click on Apply then reboot your computer in order to observe if there are any changes . You should also try unchecking the BitDefender entry, "bdagent" then restart your computer normally .

After that, please send us a report generated by the sysdump tool. Here is what you have to do :

1. Save the tool from the next link on your Desktop:

2. Run it and you will notice that a command prompt window will appear on your screen.

3. Please note that the information gathering process can take a several minutes therefore please wait until the command prompt window disappear by itself. The output of this tool is a new file called sysdump.tar placed in the same location with sysdump.exe

4. After the file is generated, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/ then send me a personal message with the download link .
