Scanning Downloaded Files
Is bit defender IS 2010 supposed to scan downloaded files automatically in Firefox 3.5.3?
as i have noticed that it doesn't do, and it displays a pop up box saying my av cannot be found, it used to work ok as far as i am aware, but that was using bd is 2008 and Firefox 3.5.2, if it supposed to integrate into Firefox then how can i get this to work?

BitDefender is scanning the files downloaded through Mozilla Firefox 3.5.3 . Go to http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm and scroll down until you reach the section where you have the possibility to download some test files that will appear as infected. Under "Download area using the standard protocol http", click on "eicar.com" . You should receive a BitDefender Alert that will tell you the file in question was blocked.
If for example, you click on "eicar_com.zip", you will receive the same message, but you will be able to download the file because the so called infection is in archive and it cannot execute on your computer.
