Home Network Not Enabling After Disabling.

I had setup the Home Network feature on my XP SP3 computer which was working fine but had to disable it the other day and now I cannot re-enable it. The option is there and I can click on Enable and am prompted for a password but it does not enable. I have shutdown and rebooted but still no success.

The other computer which is on the network (Vista SP2) can be disabled and re-enabled with no problems.

Any help please.

I spoke too soon in a previous post about not having problems with BDIS2010. <img class=" />

Ok sorted it but theres still a problem.

All computers are registered with the main computer but on the two other computers the main computer shows as offline. I have restarted, shutdown & restarted but the status does not change.

You can start a remote update of BD from the main computer to the other two computers so I know they are comunicating but the status does not update.

    Any help please.

  • Hello breadncheese,

Just in testing purpose, try to disable temporarily the BitDefender Firewall on the main computer and then let us know if that computer is visible from the other systems .

    Thank you

Disabled home network on all computers and disabled the firewall on all computers reconnected all to home network and then enabled the firewall.

    This sorted the problem. B)

• I think,Home network in BD is very bugy. After enabling it,I can't add my local computers with BD antivirus software installed. Refresh option not work correctly! Secund problem: This disabed normal sharing options in windows lokal network because I cannot acces my shared folders in Local Area Network

  • My BD Home network is disabled and I waiting for fix via live update! Thanks!
