Bitdefender 2010 Internet Security Uninstall Problem

Hi,

I am trying to uninstall BitDefender Internet Security 2010 from my Windows 7 OS, but during the uninstallation an error arouses:

Service VSSERV "Bitdefender Virus Shield" could not be deleted.

I am the admin, with the only account on the PC. I saw that the BitDefender uninstall tool does not support 2010.

I saw that the owner of the vsserv.exe file was the "SYSTEM", and couldn't get it changed.

Any suggestions?

Please try the steps described in my first post from the next topic : http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=15555 . Also, please try to run the uninstall tool in Safe Mode and look if the same issue occurs.

I'll try that now, but the BD Uninstall tool clearly states that 2010 is not supported, you think it'll still work?

Hello Gorjan Jovanovski,

The current BitDefender uninstall tool :http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall, can be used without any problems to remove BitDefender 2010 in Normal Mode or in Safe Mode. Try to run it and let us know what happened.

After playing around with it, I managed to disable all BD services and kill all processes, and then the Uninstallation Tool finally worked
