Possible False Positive Rootkits

Options

okay..so i have now gotten BD TS 2010 and i decided to do a scan 2day...unfortunately it said i had like some 30000+ files infected by rootkit! But what i noticed is that all those supposedly infected files are in one folder on my C drive...the folder happens to be a folder that i lock with the program Folder Guard Pro...

Is it possible that Folder Guard Pro locks the selected files using rootkits?

I would like to think so...

But what my main problem is- is that when BD displayed the results, i selected the option to make them visible....now all those files have a new extension .bd.ren! So if it is a false positive, do i have to rename EACH file or can i like undo what BD did?

I tried checking system restore but my stupid brother TURNED IT OFF!! argh! no restore point!

btw i'm running XP pro

Thanks in advance for any help ;)
