hello

please, can someone help me ?

i have a problem with arrakis server

i installed a software which need port 8080

i verify and i found that arrakis server uses 8080 port

then, i stopped the service arrakis and the port 8080 is now closed

my software works fine

i stopped my software and i launch the service arrakis

i wanted to understand arrakis and i found that if i go at this url, arrakis ask me for a password :

http://192.168.0.1:8080

can someone tell me the password of arrakis ?

The BitDefender Arrakis Server is a service which is used by the Home Network module for updating BitDefender. Let's take for 3 example computers which are connected through a local network and they are also connected in the BitDefender Home Network.

From a single computer you have the possibility to update BitDefender on the other 2 systems. This means that those 2 computers will not connect to the Internet and they will connect to the main computer for their BitDefender updates. This process is being performed through the Arrakis Server which creates a mirror with the BitDefender updates .

In conclusion, the BitDefender Arrakis Server service can be disabled from the Services section of Windows as long as you don't use the Home Network option .

Please take a screen-shot of the window that is displayed when you access :http://192.168.0.1:8080 . After that, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/ then post here the download link .

Usually, when you have a router installed and you access this address, you will be asked for a userame and a password so that you can access the router settings. The default username and password is : admin . Try to see what happens if you type in "admin" under username and password and let us know the results.
