Bd 2010 Deletes Suspected 'generic Trojans' Without Asking Me First

App: Bit Defender 2010 - Trial Version

OS: Windows XP Home

BD 2010 automatically ran a full system scan of my PC overnight, and when I came to my PC this morning, it had deleted several files that I know were false positives (all key gens for key-protected installation files).

My issue is, I thought the keygens were safe because I had the "Alert me before taking any action" box ticked, in the Advanced Settings area. I don't understand the point of having this tick-box, if BD is just going to take action anyway. Now I have lost several files that I cannot retreive. <img class=" />

Actually, ignore the above - I have found another check-list that includes opting to make first action 'move to quarantine' instead of 'delete file'. I'm not impressed that the 'move to quarantine' option is not the default action. BD 2010 is not my mum - it should always let me be the boss! ;)

I believe that option is for Real-Time Protection and it has nothing to do with the options for the Antivirus Scan.

You need to set the Antivirus Scan options in the Properties menu for the Full System Task. There is an option that says "Take no action" for when encountering infected items.
