Cuteftp Freezes If Firewall Enabled

I've found that CuteFTP freezes up at the splash screen when the Firewall is enabled. I added CuteFTP to the Whitelist for the Firewall, but it still refuses to let the program open. I tried changing some settings here and there, and it didn't work. Can anyone help, please? Thank you.

    Hello Sassy Devil,


    Please follow the steps bellow :


    1. Open BitDefender, go to Advanced View -> Firewall and select the Network tab in the upper menu and click on the current "Network Type", pull down the drop-down menu and select "Trusted Local" and Generic needs to be set to "Yes".


    2. Click on the Rules tab then click on the Advanced button from the lower left side of the BitDefender window and look for the entry for CuteFTP.


    3. Double click on it and check in order to see if it is set to Deny. If that is the case please double click on the entry and set it to Allow.


    Now test in order to see if you have the same issues.

    THAT'S IT!!!!!!! I have tried to figure this out for around 10 days, I've asked CuteFTP's tech help, I've asked some friends, and I've asked my boyfriend who works with computers, and the answer was on the BitDefender forum! <img class=" />
