Problem With Iis And Local Network Machines
Hello,
i have a problem with bit defender 2010 total security. My network is composed by 6 pc with windows 7 64bit edition and IE8/Chrome. On 3 pc there is IIS7 and in 1 of those there is BitDefender installed. Then there is 1 pc with BitDefender installed. The other 2 pc only have Windows 7 64 bit.
Here is the problem: On every pc that doesn't have BitDefender i can see the website published in IIS (for instance i can browse http://localhost or http://pc1). On the 2 pc where i have BitDefender installed i cant. The weird thing is that even in the pc with IIS i cannot browse http://localhost from both ie8 and chrome. When i tried to uninstall BitDefender everything worked ok.
On the adapter i put the local trust option.
Can you help please?
Thanks
Antonio

Hello lello,
In order to determine the exact cause of this issue we recommend you follow the step bellow on one of the computers with BitDefender installed :
1. Open BitDefender in Expert Mode, choose the Update module and select to disable it permanently.
2. Now start your computer in Safe Mode :
- restart the computer;
- repeatedly press the "F8" key several times before Microsoft Windows begins
to load (you need to press "F8" until you will be displayed a text menu);
- select "SAFE MODE" in the text menu and press "Enter".
- wait while Windows loads in Safe Mode; this process ends with a confirmation
message; click "Yes" to acknowledge.
3. Go to the next location from your computer : C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2010 and look after the file called httproxy.dll . Please rename it in httproxy.d_ .
4. Restart your computer in Normal Mode and let us know if the same issue occurs.
Thank you .0
