Real-time File Protection Disabled

I recently noticed a small X in the corner that normally shows the file scanning status, and checking Bit Defender 2008 Antivirus, it said my real-time file protection was disabled. Flicking the "Fix" Link and nothing happens. Going into settings it shows the scan being enabled. Doing a quick google search yielded a link to an old topic in this forum which recommended reinstalling by downloading the download kit again. Problem is when I click on MY PRODUCTS and DOWNLOAD KIT, it links only to 2010 and nothing else. How can I re-download a 2008 installation kit... or anyone have tips on how to fix this problem?

If you do not want to upgrade for free to BitDefender 2010 here are the steps which will help you reinstall BitDefender Antivirus 2008 :

    1. Save and run first the uninstall tool from the next link and then reboot the PC:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

    2. Save your product from the next link:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...us_2008_32b.exe

    - copy and paste the link into your browser and press [Enter].

    - a new window will appear with two options: [save] and [run] - press [save]

    - after saving the file, please run it in order to install it.
