I lost the link to download the xpi plugin extension for firefox.

It's a firefox plugin extension called Bitdefender QuickScanner. The last version that is automatically updated on my portable PC is 0.9.8.2.

I would like to install it also on my desktop but I cannot anymore find where I downloaded it from.

It's very nice and very usefull.

Using your favorite web browser visit: http://quickscan.bitdefender.com/ and install the required ActiveX/Plugin when prompted.

Click on "Start" and read the END USER SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT carefully. Select the "Accept" button to use the QuickScan tool or "Exit" if you do not agree with the terms and conditions.

I will try the link on my desktop at home.

Do you think that the xpi extension for firefox will be also available in future for direct installation on the PC ?

I followed the instruction but after the installation is performed, firefox needs to restart and I get an installation error asking to reinstall the extension.

I have done it several times but the result is always the same.

has anybody had a similar problem ?

If possible, please take a screen-shot of the error message that you get, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/, then post here the download link .

Steps that will help you make a screen-shot:

1. When the window is on you desktop press the PrintScreen key (PrintScreen is located at the top of the keyboard, at right. At this step we can not see anything, as the picture is copied into Windows' clipboard);

2. Open the standard Paint program, that comes with every Windows installation (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint);

3.Paste the picture (Edit -> Paste);

4.Save the file into the JPEG format into a location of your choice .
