"antivirus Live"

I just got the "AntiVirus Live" virus on my kids computer. It seems to be a known virus so just google it for details. Bitdefender was current and executing correctly on this computer. So my question is: why did it get infected with a virus? I paid good money for Bitdefender to prevent this kind of problem.


My second question is: does Bitdefender have a removal program for this virus?

    I got the same "Antivirus Live" virus yesterday. This is not the first time my pc has been taken over by one of these fake antivirus programmes (Antivirus pro 2010 etc.).


    I managed to get rid of the virus today by following the instructions posted here http://www.softsailor.com/how-to/13501-how...oval-guide.html


    As with Tom, my Bitdefender is up to date and I run regular scans.


    I would like to know why I keep getting this virus and what Bitdefender can do to prevent this reoccuring?
