Bd 2010 Antivirus Internet Connection Problem

Dear all

I have purchased BitDefender 2010 Antivirus, and have installed on XP X64, the problem is when I try to turn Skype on with Internet Explorer, or another program that uses the internet, I just can't open websites and my internet connection drops instantly.

Weird enough is that, when I turn off BD Antivirus everything comes to normal, I guess the Antivirus is causing the problem, it’s fully updated but the problem remains, this is quite annoying

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with my system, it's a fresh installation of Windows XP 64, it has no virus whatsoever.

Regarding your issue, for testing purposes, please follow the steps below in order to disable BitDefender Antivirus Virus Control module:

1. Open BitDefender Security Center.

2. Click on 'Settings' and switch to 'Expert Mode'

3. Go to 'Antivirus' tab.

4. Click on 'Advanced Settings' and DISABLE the 'Antivirus Virus Control' feature.

5. Test to see if the issue still replicates.
