Generic.peed.eml.*** Viruses - Cannot Delete
Hi there,
Bitdefender is finding the generic.peed.eml.*** virus in my thunderbird email and cannot disinfect, move or delete them.
I've read the thread http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=1469 but the problem I am having is that when I navigate to the Thunderbird email folder I cannot find the email Bitdefender refers to. When I open the folder I see all the messages and related header info etc. but a search does not find "message 642". How do I determine exactly which message is "message 642"?
Thanks,
Jim

Hello Topdoggg
Did you also deleted your junk and deleted items? The problem is that I don't use Thunderbird but can't you find a reference that only has the number. Try to follow denis steps. To see the extensions once you are in that folder go to tools, folders options,view/display,uncheck hide known file types and press on apply and ok.

Thanks guys.
I ran a deep scan and this time BD deleted the files, then I opened Thunderbird offline and compacted the folders and rescanned and the viruses are gone.
Thanks for the advice.
