I'm happy with BD Antivirus 2008 and want to keep using it for some time. How long are definition file updates going to be available for that version?

A decision hasn't been made as to when we will discontinue updates for BitDefender 2008 but I don't believe this will happen soon enough.
Great, I'm hoping for at least another two years. I'm actually going to install it on the second PC. I still have the installer for v2008 so I'll buy a license for AV 2010 and then ask Support for a replacement registration key compatible with 2008 version.
Since there were no more question on this topic, I will consider this issue solved.
