[solved] Bitdefender Crashed, Help Please

Here is what happened:

I was just surfing the internet when a message came up stating that both my BitDefender 2010 system had turned off along with my Windows Firewall.

When I went to turn it back on, it just showed an hourglass symbol and nothing happened.

Then I tried opening up BitDefender.

I got this message:

I have tried everything that both me and my dad could think of.

No matter where I go, I am not getting an option to 'Renew' or 'Repair' my BitDefender system.

I have also tried the method of opening up:

My_Computer -> Program_Files -> BitDefender -> BitDefender_2010 -> supporttool.exe

It just opens up the Command Prompt but it exits instantly.

Recap:

I was online

All anti-virus turned off automatically

I tried turning back on; didn't work

Came here for help.

If anyone could help me out here, I've tried everything, please help me, I don't want my new laptop breaking so soon.

Comp type: Alienware laptop. Forgot other info.

Using windows 7.

BitDefender 2010 installed.

Recently downloaded a Microsoft Visual Vasic C++ package from ta trusted Microsoft website, so threat of virus may or may not take affect.

Download the uninstall tool from this location and run it: www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Reboot the system when prompted.

Next,install back your BitDefender from this link:

http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/

Won't Re-Downloading it cause me to have to pay again? I believe that my dad had to pay for this system.

Will i be restricted from full protection?

No , you do not have to pay again. You just have to reinstall your Bitdefender and you can download your Bitdefender without problems from : http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/ . You will not be restricted from full protection.

Thank you for the help guys. I did re-download it. It worked but it took forever to find the activation code for the re-install. It is working perfectly now, still causing my comp to lagg but whatever. Thanks again.
