Deep System Scan Giving A Lot Of "skipped Items"

Hello when I try to do a Deep System Scan I get around 140000 Skipped items, I've just tried a right click scan of the C drive and after 30 seconds there was 110000 files skipped, anybody able to guide me on this problem please?

Some general info which might/might not help.

-Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)

-BD10 was a fresh install not a upgrade from '09

  • Dan,

I asked the same question in the thread below and here was the answer:

    Hello AndreiRC ,

All files that appear as Skipped in the scan report are clean.BitDefender 2010 has a new feature called SmartScan, which decreases the duration of the scan by adding clean files to a cache so that they will be skipped at the next scan if the files have not been accessed or modified in any way. If a file that is already present in the cache is accessed, then it will be removed from the cache.

    Thank you .

    Hope this helps.

  • Ah I see, thank you very much :D
