Dead P.c.
Like everybody on this forum I got the BD upgrade mess.
I am (was) running Windows Vista 64 bits.
I had cleared up most of the problems when I saw that there was a CD fix.
I made the CD and attempted to run it, eventually managed to run it.
NOW my PC won't start, giving me: Missing operating system.
I ran all the diagnostics, all harware O.K.
I ran the repair from the istallation disk. After many hours it tells me:
Partiton table is corrupt on disk.
Repair action: Partition table repair
Result; Failed Error code = 0X490
Any solution besides reinstalling Windows and loosing all my data?
Thank you.

Hello Cobra,
Please be so kind as to provide us with the following details:
- did you receive any error message when you ran the Rescue CD?
- the Rescue CD is only working on English, French, Spanish and German versions of Microsoft Windows. Do you have an Operating system in a different language?
- can you please turn on your PC and let us know what is the exact message you are receiving?
For saving your data, please follow the steps from this article in order to create a new Rescue CD and then the steps from this article in order to save your files on a memory stick or an external harddisk.
