I have Internet Security 2008 running on XP-64 bit.

I have errors in my System Event Viewer:

The BDSelfPr service failed to start due to the following error:

The system cannot find the file specified.

Please advise - this happens every time the system is restarted.

Well I have to say, I'm really disappointed in BD IS 2008. It really cramped my system - slowed it down considerably. I run Win XP Pro x64, AMD X2 5200, 4 gig Ram, RAID 0 320g 3.0 Sata . This thing is acting like a Celeron 300.

I had a great experience with BD Pro 9 and i'm really sad it expired. Wish I could go back. Looks like i'm back on AVG until I figure out what to do.

Any help is appreciated.

I just installed MS Office on the machine and windows update was downloading a ton of files in the background and I'd assume BD was scanning them in RT, even though I had toggled the don't scan packed files or files > 5000k.

Actually the Windows updates were failing, until I uninstalled BD, then the updates installed fine.

I'm reinstalling BD IS2008 and crossing my fingers that I have a better experience.
