i had the same problem for sometime. heres wat i did and i think it somehow fixed the problem -

    1) remove all incompatible addons (especially flashblock if u hav it) and update the rest

    2) update plugins

    3) remove bitdefender antiphishing TOOLBAR (donot disable antiphishing)

    4) remove any themes u hav applied

after i did all this, the problem seems fixed. havent had a single crash thereafter

  • I'm having the same problem. BSOD. Routine in error is 'bdftdif.sys'. I understand this is a part of the BD firewall. I don't use the firewall. I am using BDAV2010. Why is a firewall driver being called?

Should I just rename the file? Will something else blow up because it's renamed?

It doesn't matter if I use Firefox or IE8. It fails while in any browser. BD anti-phishing appears to be active. Is it the guilty party?

    Thanks for your support,

    Leighton

As a postscript to my previous post, why do I have a directory "C:\Program Files\Common Files\BitDefender\BitDefender Firewall" in the first place if I have BDAV 2010? Why was it included in the installation?
