Looking for a solution to removing trojan DNS Changer

I have two files that Bitdefender says are infected with Trojan DNS Changer. I run Bitdefender and it finds them and will not remove. I have changed the settings so that when it finds the infection to delete. I get a mesage that says Archive repacking has failed marked action not taken.

I run any other spyware program and the bit defender alert window pops up on the infection

any suggestions

If this message appears, it means that the infected file is inside an archived/packed file (possibly inside an installation kit).

Do you know what that archive/installation kit does? If you don't know, then delete the hole file (archive). If that archive is legit, put it in a zip file (protect that zip with the password infected) and attach here the zip.

If that infected archive is in the Temp folder, then you can safely delete it, because no application you use will need that file.

    Hi jaflsts

But be aware if you remove such a trojan that you can loose your internet connection. So I suggest that you download first winsock fix : http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html Before manually remove the files that BitDefender detected as infected.
