Could Not Connect To Steam Network

Hi,

I got this error and i suspect this error come from this Antivirus.

Ill try to disable both firewall which is windows firewall and bitdefender firewall

and still still dosent work.

Any solution for this ?

1) I can't see which error you talk about.

2) You should absolutely disable windows firewall ( start program control panel center security firewall windows -> deactivated in order to get bitdefender firewall active and not hampered by the other soft.

and you should keep bitdefender firewall activated.

3) Give as many information as possible on your system (XP? Vista? Seven?) to help BD technicians.

4) I do not play games, and I did not know Steam. Steam happens to have a forum. Did you check your issue on its forum? People seem to have trouble with the software updates too.

5) Since how long do you have problems? Have you ever been able to get connected to Steam?

You could open a rule in BD firewall to let Steam games (or other software) run without being blocked.

Check BD firewall whitelist (is steam included?) check rules too. Steam appears?

In the game mode, configuration, parameters, ypu can set the firewall to authorize everything (game mode) in game mode.

Did you do it? I guess you did, but I'd better ask.

maybe add Steam in the white liste of the antivirus? (Antivirus - resident - white list... ) (probably a bit risky however you know the provider)

last question: you do not use a proxy to be connected to internet through Iinternet explorer or Firefox?

(I don't think so, it could slow down internet) but settings could be done there too.

Besides according to Steam forum, there are updates too on their server. Difficult to say where does the problem come.
